Homes Needed

Westies in Need of a Home.

Details of Westies waiting to be rehomed.

If you would like to re-home one of these Westies, please read our Terms and Conditions before filling in our Adoption Form and return by email, or ring 086 8200010.

Please note that this is only a small selection of the Westies that come into Westie Rescue: if you’re interested in adopting a Westie, and satisfy our Terms & Conditions, please fill out the adoption questionnaire so that you can apply to adopt one of the many other Westies we care for!
If you see “Rehomed” written after a dog’s name, it means this particular dog is gone. However, we almost always have Westies available which don’t necessarily find their way onto this page, so apply anyway!

BONO II: OCTOBER 2011

Bono looking contemplative

This little fella is Bono, an 11 year old male Westie. He is a calm, steady fella who is very playful, he greatly enjoys a game of football! Bono is being surrendered to Westie Rescue because he is not comfortable living around the small children in the house. There isn’t much problem around visiting children, but living with small kids full-time is not for Bono, which is fairly typical of the breed, and it’s why we don’t rehome them to homes where there are small kids living full time.
Bono has lived outside for a lot of his life, but is clean inside the house. We’re looking for an indoor home for him, as we do for all of our Westies.
Bono is good on his lead and walks nicely.
I am awaiting more information from Bono’s owner, as Bono is not yet in the care of Westie Rescue as we just haven’t got room. Bono would be perfect for an older person or couple who appreciate the wisdom and calmness of an older dog. Westies are a long-lived breed, many living for longer than 15 years. My own westie is now almost 12 years old, and is still full of life and mischief, so don’t be put off by his age, he still has plenty left to give!
If you’re interested in adopting Bono, please read our terms and conditions of adoption, and fill out our Application Form or contact me at 086 8200010.
